I wish I had been able to see Dr. Ivaylo Gueorguiev sooner. I have been under his care since mid-2024. I previously had several procedures to manage the pain in my left shoulder. The VA, after several other avenues failed, provided me a referral to Dr. Gueorguiev. I had a severe left shoulder injury in late 2017; even after the third surgery, I experienced almost constant pain and significant loss of the range of motion. After the first session last summer, I could feel an improvement in my ROM before I experienced the pain threshold.
Over the past several months, I have seen Dr. Gueorguieva for continued treatments on my shoulder and have found activities that I was unable to do, can be done. I rode a bicycle this past Saturday, 25 minutes; first time in 7+ years.
Additionally, I have experienced significant pain and the loss of a normal range of motion in my right hand/wrist from a car accident decades ago. I am right-handed and holding any item very long was painful. I am very encouraged to say the range of motion and pain threshold are immensely better. I am relishing the prospect of riding my bike long distances again. I was a road-bike warrior riding 70+ miles a week.
